Structure of Electric Basket Wire Rope

Electric basket wire rope is made of multi-layer steel wire twisted into strands, and then the core as the center, by a certain number of strands twisted into a spiral rope.

The construction of wire rope 

(1) steel wire. Steel wire rope plays the role of bearing load, its performance is mainly determined by the steel wire. Steel wire is carbon steel or alloy steel through cold drawn or cold rolled from the round (or shaped) wire material, with high strength and toughness, and according to the use of different environmental conditions on the steel surface treatment. 

(2) Rope core. It is used to increase the elasticity and toughness of the wire rope, lubricate the copper wire, reduce friction, improve service life. Commonly used rope core organic fibers (such as hemp, cotton), synthetic fibers, asbestos core (high temperature conditions) or soft metal and other materials.
